This is a tiny rapier in 1:6 scale. It's forged by hand exactly the same way a full sized piece would be, heat treated and tempered, with a tang that runs through the handle, and is peened at the end of the pommel. This piece has a complex swept hilt with a twisted wire handle. Perfect for a tiny swashbuckler!
The blade is forged from high carbon silver tool steel, and has a thin tapered blade with a ricasso. The pommel and crossguard are made from mild steel, and you can see how it was made on my Instagram.
The handle has an oak wood core, which is wrapped in opposing twist brass wire with brass spacers.
The blade is blunt, but has a pointy tip so it should still be handled with care!
