Miniature Italian Billhook
This is a tiny medieval billhook in 1:6 scale. Itwas historically an anti-cavalry weapon designed to unhorse knights and more grimly, to disable their horses. The head combines the utility of a spear, a cleaver like blade and a hook, with parrying lugs at the socket, and the spine, designed to catch a blade. The socket also has integral langettes that are connected to the haft. The butt has a spiked cap, which would have served as a counterweight.
The steel components are hand forged, and engraved.
This item is not particular sharp, but rather pointy, so please handle with care. Due to its length, this item will be hand wrapped with care, but does not have a branded gift box.
