1/6th Scale Fantasy Sword “Wake Apnea”
This piece is an original design, inspired heavily by Mycenaean swords from the Bronze Age, as well as the Celtic Urnfield swords. The blade, although obviously a fantasy design is inspired by the shapes of a Yataghan and a Seax. It is a piece intended to symbolise motion and contradiction as one’s chosen path may lead them through turmoil while doubt manifests as an awakening- hence the name Wake Apnea.
The blade is forged by hand from Damascus steel, while the mountings are hand carved from bronze with a textured finish. All engravings are done using hand chisels and a rotary tool. The handle is carved from leopard wood. It measures approximately 5 1/2 inches or 140mm. As an art piece, the edge is not sharp but it has a point and should be handled with care. It is a one of a kind item.
Disclaimer: These items, even when blunt, are not toys and should be handled with care. They should not be given to children, or small animals. By purchasing these items, you agree that you are over 18, responsible and liable for any injury that might result from misuse of these items.
This piece arrives in a branded gift box.
This is a unique handmade piece, and should be handled with care. To protect it from rust, it has been coated in renaissance wax, but it is recommended to clean and oil the blade should it be handled, as finger prints may run through and cause corrosion.
