This is a tiny Cinquedea, an Italian short sword from the renaissance era in 1:6 scale. It's forged by hand exactly the same way a full sized piece would be, heat treated and tempered.
The blade is forged from high carbon silver tool steel, and has a very broad blade with multiple stacked fullers.
The handle is a framed construction, consisting of a bronze outer frame incorporating the pommel with wooden scales that are pinned to both the frame and the tang.
The blade is not sharp, and is suitable for action figure use or general handling but should be handled with care
