This is a tiny Viking Seax knife in 1:6 scale. It's forged by hand exactly the same way a full sized piece would be, heat treated and tempered, with a tang that runs through the handle, and is peened at the end of the pommel.
The blade is forged from high carbon silver tool steel, and has a broken back style blade with a rough forged finish on the spine and a polished bevel. The guard and butt cap are made from blackened brass and the handle is made from chestnut burl wood.
The blade is not sharp, but is suitable for letter opening and should be handled with care
