This is a tiny medieval longsword in 1:6 scale. It's forged by hand exactly the same way a full sized piece would be, heat treated and tempered, with a tang that runs through the handle, and is peened at the end of the pommel.
The blade is forged from high carbon silver tool steel, and has a tapered blade with a flattened hexagonal cross section and a fuller extending most of the length of the blade. It has a faceted octagonal pommel, and a crossguard with curved quillions, made from mild steel.
The handle has a pear wood core, which is wrapped in thinly cut full-grain leather on the lower section and bound in twisted brass wire on the top.
The blade is not razor sharp but would function as a letter opener and should be handled with care.
